Wilson Combat has done a fantastic job. No burs. Nice and clean no fitting Barry easy to use part. Drop in with no problems. Very nice looking product I have been using these for years and years and I have never had a problem at all with this.

I bought this because "why not?". This is supposed to be a drop in kit and it was. Required minimal effort to assemble and disassemble, fit well, and looks fine. As far as any benefits, I will put some rounds through it and we'll see how it goes. If you're looking to get your full size baby a little something nice, this kit seems to be a good option. I will say that the stiffer recoil spring is a little longer than stock which made me wonder how install would go, but it fit perfectly
BUY THIS FOR FULL SIZE 1911
Replaced 2 pc. Rod on loaded springer 1911 with this using heavy spring & buffer. No function errors at all! Groups hardball very well, still ejects very well! Really recommend it, tool no longer needed to field strip. Buffer seems like it works & will last awhile, heavier spring is noticable for sure.

Installing this into your governemnt 1911 is like a pro working over your gun. Just bought a 2nd guide rod kit for my friends P14. Installed my guide rod into the P14 just to check it out, wow what a difference it make for it too. Recommend you lube the rails with high quality bearing grease and work it back and forth a 100 times or so. Did this for my SA GI stainless model and its so smooth I call it my cheap race gun. if you can clean your gun, you can install this part. I bought this mostly to combat frame battering. it seemed to have smoothed my gun up quite a bit, and has notably less muzzle flip. I'd definately buy this again if i had a second 1911.
Worth the money.
I picked this kit up at a gun show today for my AMC American Classic II just to see if it made a difference and I would have to say it did. It cycles smoother and seems to be a little more accurate as it keeps everything locked up tighter. It can be a little bit of a pain to put together but nothing too big of a deal. I am happy with it.

Best, most affordable upgrade you can do without a gunsmith. Instantly improves accuracy, reduces recoil, and makes the .45 a pleasure to shoot all day long.
