The issue with the tool
If you use this staking tool from Brownells, which has a contact part that is too shallow to contact the FRAME, the tube may be crushed... see this (left in photo) beside another tool's contact part (on the right, which I modified for use with the crimping tool here).

A "small" issue...
On my first use, I notice the part of the tool that actually meets the plunger tube is both shallower and wider than the part it helps to install. The result, on my first attempt, is that the part aligned incorrectly as I applied pressure with the press. We would be better served if that part ACTUALLY FIT the plunger tube (they are in my experience very near 100% uniform dimensionally from brand to brand). I think if the tool fit the part it would be near impossible to ruin the part by misaligning it with the tool. Bottom line: I'm out the price of the part, and need to dress down a part from a different tool (hence ruining the other tool as it stands), in order to get the job done RIGHT. My recommendation: USE WITH CAUTION!

needs work
needs work, the hardness of the staking tip is week. I crushed two so far.

Tip Not Hardened
It looks like the tool should work well. It did not work for me because the tip supplied to crimp was not hardened and simply deformed without crimping. The tip was so soft the threads and hex socket head failed when I attempted to remove it from the base after first use. It should be possible to reshape and case harden a standard 10-32 x 5/16 set screw ($0.25) with more threads that may be more durable if the replacement tip doesn't work at $4.00 (wish I had been offered a free replacement when I called to discuss). The photo shows how the tip deformed to hole dimensions instead of crimping.
