This works
This muzzle device works very well. It reduces recoil to about 50% or more.
Tight fit, slight maching required
I put this on my Springfield 1911 Loaded that's from 2010. The comp fit into the slide and around the barrel without any machining or fine tuning required. I don't have a full length guide rod in my 1911, so I did have to cut the spring plug a little shorter per the instructions included with the comp. I haven't fired it yet, but the weapon manually cycles without issue, and I'll be going to a range in a few days to test out the new performance. Hopefully I'll have good news to add to this review.
Awesome product! READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
I bought this for my Colt 1991 1A, it took some time to get the OD of the comp to the correct diameter, THIS IS NOT A "DROP IN" part! Take your time, check the fit periodically (You don't want any slop here) also I highly recommend you also get the WC 2 piece guide rod for the spring, I did not have to remove any of the spring at all but assembly is much easier with the two piece rod, not to mention its another great upgrade as it keeps any spring binding from happening, just read the instructions
Works and looks great!
This was a drop in fit for my 1911! The first time I had it to the range I noticed a big difference in muzzle jump, and my follow up shots were a lot quicker. This looks really awesome as well!
Fit and Finish
Instructions say "May need to be fitted". This was absolutely NOT the case with the Springfield M1911 A1. Tolerances are slightly different from gun to gun, but with moderate pressure and twist, the part fit the Springfield very nicely. Noticable difference in recoil and it looks good. Thank you Brownells and Wilson Combat
Awesome product
I use this on my Kimber 45 for shooting targets and hunting. It is the best investment that I have made for my Kimber so far. As it says in the details mill work is required and anyone who gives a bad rating for that reason did not read or understand what is written.
Good full size compensator.
Every review about drop-in fit is accurate. If you are performing a custom build like I did, here are a few things I ran across. Pre-measure your opening on your slide and the comp. OD. I had to mill off .0015" for a nice snug fit. My set up was with an STI 6" long slide and barrel which extended just beyond the slide. Checking proper fit I found that I had to lathe about .002" from the ID of the comp. to clear the barrel. Wilson also recommends shortening the spring plug to 1.2". Hope this helps.
multi comp
great is all i can say, this was truly a drop in addition to my pistol and on top of making it look even more awsome it also reduces the muzzle flip a little bit. it added just over 1 1/4"s to the overall length, and it was a great addition to my pistol. along side the black gritty punisher grips and the 10 round mags that i have purchased for it this tops all of them. there was no fitting required at all.
works as advertized
The Multi-comp definitely reduces muzzle rise. It was easy to install.
Best one to Buy
This compensator work. This my third one on my 1911(Colt, Para Ord., and SW). my grouping is less than 1" on 25m.
