Perfect Drop In Fit
This MSH was a perfect drop in fit for my SA Operator AOS .45acp. No fitting required. Good price for a premium part from WC. 30lpi feels good.

Purcahsed for my Colt O1980 XSE
No fitting required for my Colt O1980 XSE dropped right in. Tight fit. Replaced the stock poly housing with straight serrations. This Wilson Combat unit feels and looks way better.
Good part
Good part, as all of the Wilson Combat parts that I've used in the past are, BUT, like most parts on a 1911, it is not necessarily "Drop-in", although that is what the packaging states. It took about an hours worth of filing and stoning to get the OAL short enough to not bind on the grip safety. Checkering is clean and fine, finish is a matte blue.
Much better than kimber housing
I purchased several items including complete spring kit & other Wilson's combat parts such as bullet proof firing pin, bullet proof sear, SS mainspring housing, bullet proof extractor, bullet proof sear spring, several weight recoil springs. Great product
This is a great product as is to be expected with Wilson Combat, especially their Bullet Proof line. It does however need fitting for my Colt Rail Gun. As another reviewer stated, it is just a hair too long to fit. It should be understood that very few parts are actually drop-in on a 1911 and this is not advertised as such, so no need to drop the rating because of it. The part looks and feels great.
Fit my Kimber Pro Carry II Perfectly
I received my replacement main spring housing today and put it on my Kimber Pro Carry II. No fitting needed. Using the appropriate punch sizes I was able to remove the old one and put the new one on with no trouble. Bottom line: I would recommend this to a friend.

Replaced the plastic in my Colt Commander with this. Fit is really good, and solid construction.
Great product
This housing was dropped into a Springfield Lightweight Champion 1911. No modification was necessary, the fit/finish is great.
Nice Product
Used in a "scratch built" government model. Fit very well into my (iffy?) Essex frame. Pin hole location was perfect. Solid rail-to-groove fit into frame with no alteration or movement. Cannot see any flaws in the fine, sharp checkering.
Great fit
This mainspring housing fit my Caspian frame great. The fit was tight, but needed no filing or stoning to fit. Great fit with the internal parts as well.
