1911 GOV'T MODEL MAGAZINES

1911 GOV'T MODEL MAGAZINES Reviews & Ratings

For many years, the 1911 Government Model has been available in chamberings for cartridges other than its original .45 ACP, including .38 Super, 9mm Luger, and the potent 10mm Auto. The folks at the Ed Brown shop figure that just because your 1911 is chambered in one of these alternate cartridges shouldn't mean you have to sacrifice magazine reliability. Like Ed Brown's .45 magazines, their alternate caliber 1911 mags have a virtually seamless body of heat-treated stainless steel, with a self-levelling STEEL - not plastic! - follower supported by a heavy duty spring with plenty of oomph to keep the round stack moving. These 1911 Government Model magazines have a welded-on steel baseplate to minimize bulk for situations where you want to keep thing compact. Each mag comes with a pair of screw-on rubber base pads - a thin pad to protect that mag when ejecting it on hard ground, and a thick pad to provide extra length to aid insertion into and removal from a pistol with an extended magwell. These mags can go from competition to concealed carry simply by swapping the base pads.

  • Models for pistols chambered in .38 Super, 9mm Luger, and 10mm Auto
  • 9-Rd capacity
  • Sturdy 410 stainless steel body / welded-on base plate
  • Available with natural Silver finish or Black Nitride
  • Witness holes for easy monitoring of load status

The Ed Brown shop's unique hydro-finish process gives the mag body and follower an extra-slick surface that repels dirt, dust, and burned powder to eliminate unnecessary friction against the follower to ensure consistent feeding and easy seating in the magwell. You can get these 1911 Government Model magazines with a natural Silver finish or a non-reflective Black Nitride finish for extra protection from and corrosion. If you're looking for a premium-quality magazine engineered and manufactured to the highest standards to deliver outstanding reliability and smoothness from your "other caliber" 1911 Government model… you've found it!
