Good sight
I have a beater 1911 and the sights were the tiny old military sights. The gun also shot really low.
I got a new rear sight and then changed the front sight to this one. The install required the special sight riveting tool and it went surprisingly well.
I took everything to the range with 100 rounds of hardball and sighted it in by filing the front sight down.
About .004 did it at 15 yards.
This sight worked fine and I recommend it.

Front sight
Not much to say except as usual anything ordered from Brownells is top quality.
Exccellent Quality
I've installed these sights many times over the years. Their quality and dimension control are first rate! Highly recommended!!!
Good Front Sight
Used the Brownells Front Sight Staker to install my sight. Easy install. First time at staking a front sight. Watch YouTube first. Take your time.
Good to go!
I used this to replace the worn out issue front sight on a Sistema 1927 (Argentinian 1911 clone). Good finish, and staked well. I only had to do minor fitting to fit it to my slide. I paired it with a Colt high profile rear sight, and I'm in the black again at 50 ft. Can't beat it for the price if you're old school and don't want to have your slide machined.
Good product
The sight fit in the slot of my Government Model Series 80 stainless slide pretty well, the tenon was a little loose, but I was able to swage it to fit, finally.
I would love to see these offered in different colors, like gold, orange, bright green, etc. I would have ordered a gold one if it was available.
