Excellent Safety
It’s an excellent part. Take your time and follow the directions on the Harrison Designs website. In my pistol, a Tisas Yukon commander, the base of the hammer was obstructing the safety’s insertion and I had to remove a lot of material. This was not very apparent at first, luckily I didn’t start filing away at the sear fitting pad before realizing that wasn’t the problem. Take your time(!!!) and you’ll have an incredible thumb safety!

Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Fantastic!
This safety takes some time and attention to detail with the fitting due to the oversized areas. It's one of the best feeling safeties I've installed and looks great. An awesome design with great quality. Harrison's web-site has very good fitting instructions and need to be read before attempting an install.
Good quality, function, and form
Just put this in 2011 I am building (still need to blend chin and ejector). Fitting was relatively easy, and it functions perfectly with positive lock both engaged and disengaged. The finish is quite nice and overall form is beautiful.
Excellant form and function
This is the fourth thumb safety on this gun. All the other safety's had issues with fit and form, so much so that I didn't completely trust them. This is my EDC which needs to be 100% trustworthy. The Harrison Extreme Service fits this requirement perfectly. That being said it will require a lot of fitting, you will need to follow the install instructions completely. Follow the instructions and you will be very happy with the results.
Highest Quality
Another high quality Harrison Extreme Service Thumb Safety. This one has a wide extended smooth shelf. Thick contoured plate. This is not a "drop in". Careful fitting to a quality hammer & sear is required. Harrison web site has simple fitting instructions in pdf format. Follow them carefully. The finish matches Caspian stainless. The quality is worth the price.
Harrison Parts are phenomenal
If you know how to properly fit a thumb safety then buy this. If you do not know how to do it safely, buy it and have a gun smith install it. Matched my blackened Colt Rail Gun finish perfectly. No rattle, perfect function after removing material. I expected to have to fit the safety and it was easy. Very very solid.Clicks definitively on and off. Will be ordering other Harrison products shortly.
Excellent
Recently installed on a new Colt 1070 XSE. Stainless finish matches well with the Colt parts. Easy install, only minimal fitting required, and works great (positive detent engagement without being too stiff). I find the shape of this safety fits my thumb and supports better hand placement than others I've tried. I've previously used the blued version of this safety on a Dan Wesson...more fitting was required on that gun, but the end results were great as well.
Good design & ergonomics.
Installed on a 2010 Dan Wesson CCO. Required a good bit of fitting on the sear engagement face, but that's normal and expected for 1911 fire control parts. Results were great -- I really like the ergonomics, and the detent tension is perfect. I really like the design. Had similar excellent results with the stainless version on a Colt 1070 XSE.

This is an Xcellnt part . Just dont get in a hurry, make sure the part fits in your frame before fitting to sear. (fit to frame first)
Just the ticket.
Installed one of these on a Rock Island, minimal fitting required. I was looking for a smooth lo profile safety and this is perfect. Am ordering one for my Wiley Clapp commander. May be the best for low snag and ease of use I have seen.
