9mm 1911
Superb spring , makes my rock island run fantastic
Solid replacement.
If you need to replace your recoil spring- this is it. Period.
A must when firing +P rounds.
This comes as a set. 18.5 recoil spring and the correct firing pin spring are included. This spring let's you fire standard power loads reliably, and keeps your slide and frame from being damaged by the plus P loads. Use the guide rod buffers for maximum protection. Less felt recoil is also a benefit. With this spring set, you can fire regular, and extra power loads, especially if you're using the guide rod buffers with the confidence that your gun isn't being damaged.
Wolff is always top quality
I realize the trend these days is toward lighter and lighter recoil springs, but I guess I'm old-school; every .45 1911 I have gets a 18 1/2# Wolff spring right out of the box. I like the recoil impulse with this spring and a flat-bottom FPS, it gives a margin of error for feeding and it helps prevent battering with +P carry loads. It may not be popular, but I'll keep doing what's worked for me for 30 years, and use these in all my .45 1911's.
New life to old pistol
My Colt Mark IV series 70 needed some maintenance. I did a trigger job to 3.5 lbs, custom Trijicon HD sights, and Wolff recoil & firing pin springs. The biggest bang for the buck were the springs. They installed in minutes. The recoil spring takes about 1/3 of felt recoil out, and because it returns so fast, I am able to get back on target faster, and my groups are much tighter. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to improve their 1911, new or vintage.
Spring Everything As Advertised
Bought the springs as a replacement for a newly purchased pistol. Checked them against the factory originals and they feel the same when installed in the pistol. Also shipping was faster than expected and the price is great. Zero cons.
High Quality, Lasts Forever.
These are by far the best springs on the market, make no mistake... you CAN get the best for cheap! I have these in several of my 1911's and have 48,XXX rounds through one of them with zero problems. I love the 18.5lb chrome silicon springs and will never use anything else. Why would I? Super innexpensive... best quality on the market.
Wolff 1911 16# Recoil Spring kit
This is the no-worries, no hassle repacement to your worn 1911 recoil spring. I've purchased this spring a couple times now. It's always perfect, drops right in with no fooling around and then just forget about it. The pistol will just work. The fix for your worn 1911 recoil spoil is right here.
No Problem in Springfield Loaded
Recoil spring is longer than original stock (possibly because mine is worn out) but fits full sized 1911 easily. No noise, no binding. However, the extra power firing pin spring supplied in the kit did not feel as strong in compression as my original and was slightly shorter. I left my original in the gun. No light strikes so no problem.
