Perfect fit file for this job

This is a super smooth file for fitting the top lugs to get that centered firing pin hit. It cuts so smooth and effortlessly, and leaves a finish that really needs no more work. I using use a very fine Cratex wheel for final polish, but it really isn't needed. Just a personal thing .

Must have

Cuts clean, Used to install an ED brown, Kart, and Nowlin barrels. The safe edge is perfect and cuts cleaner than a medium India stone. Used on hood and upper lugs.

High Quality File

This is a very high quality file with two safe sides. Useful for many fitting jobs but designed to be used in fitting 1911 barrel lugs.

Correct Tool

Right tool for those 1911 lug fitting jobs. Use a good file handle. Brownells blank screwdriver handles are great for that purpose. A bit pricey, but there are none out there that replaces them. Remember; you can remove metal but it's tough to replace.
