Feed lips are roll-formed and polished, not die cut, for added strength, and Chip’s proprietary follower design provides flawless feeding with semi-wadcutters and hollow points. Powerful spring of proprietary, heat-treated Rocket Wire further ensures reliable feeding, even when left fully loaded and seated in a pistol for extended periods. Removable plastic base pad with full, front-to-back engagement, is built to withstand continual use, and numbered witness holes on both sides of the body provide a fast, visible round count. Available in 8-round capacity with slightly extended base pad that adds about ¼" to magazine length.

Give It A Shot

Got a Series 80 Combat Target 1911 on promo direct from Colt back in the day, factory-equipped with Chip McCormick Shooting Star mags. No 38 Super, .45 it had to be. Reliable, excellently made flush fit stainlees with an 8 cartridge capacity bringing the arm a step, round, closer to the 21st C. Love the idea! Retiring soon, I decided to add a few of these arguably upgraded Power Mags (don't need Plus) in 8 as well as 10-round and hope gov't will too if they need to pull and reissue 1911's.

Quality Product

I've been using two of these for the past four years out of an S&W 1911 E Series. The finish wore off fairly quick in a couple spots but the slide has always locked back and I've never experienced a failure to feed.

Good experience

I have some of these that I've had for 15 years now. They have remained fully loaded since purchase, with the exception of range time use. They continue to work as desired and I've never had an issue with function or fit! I have a Kimber procarry and a Tarus 1911 and use these in both guns.

ALOT OF BANG FOR THE BUCK

I'M A 1911 FANATIC! THESE MAGS WORK IN ALL MY 1911'S. SOME OF MY MORE EXPENSIVE WILSON MAGS ARE VERY PICKY WORKING WELL IN SOME GUNS BUT NOT OTHERS. +1 ON THE 200GR BULLETS. I LOAD MINE A LITTLE LONG AND THEY STILL FIT IN THE MAG. NOT SO WITH MY WILSON MAGS. PLUS YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE!

A Quality Mag For A Reasonable Price

A very well made mag. I've been using CMC mags for 20 years with no failures or quality issues.

Excellent magazine for shorter 1911

If you are running any 1911 with these you will be satisfied. Due to the strong springs it may take a couple loadings for the springs to "set" but after that you will have a good working magazine. These give the round that extra quick lift to feed the rounds in shorter 3 and 4 inch 1911's.

Smooth functioning

I have a number of these magazines. With a Colt, Springfield, and a custom 1911 they work flawlessly. They are my carry magazines.

Very Pleased

I just received my magazines,bought 10, installed pads, 9 of the ten worked perfectly, 1 required a slight bit of file work, it now works perfectly, I have determined that my mag well needs to be beviled. I love the all metal mag and follower vs. the synthetic followers that I have used in the past. I look forward to using these.
