Better than expected
I’ve used this spring kit twice; on a model 29-3 and a model 329. Results are a much smoother and lighter trigger pull in both double and single action.
In both cases an 8-lb double action pull weight is what I needed to adjust to in order to have consistent ignition of primers.

Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Main Spring S&W M1917
The main spring will not work on the S&W M1917 .45 DA revolver.
Wilson Combat Spring Kir
Excellent results
Yep - That's what it needed
I over paid for a hard-to-find new 686+. So I was VERY disappointed when I discovered how lousy the trigger was. My son laughed out loud, "It's just so bad!" And my wife (accustomed to her superb K6S) said, "It won't go!" That stung. Local gunsmith said the action was smooth enough but the springs were unnecessarily heavy. Installing the Wilson Combat spring kit was a breeze, and now it feels like a revolver I am proud to own. 70+ rounds through it without a failure. I'll keep count until I am satisfied it is drop-dead reliable. I have a feeling it will be.
Great parts
I've been using these for years, and keep a set in stock in my shop at all times. Most any S&W revolver I buy or trade into gets an initial internal cleaning, deburring and a set of these springs. They typically reduce the trigger weight on a K, L or N frame revolver by at least 20%. My most recently used set went into a S&W M-624 3". I highly recommend this part set.
Easy Peasy
Very easy to install. I took down my Model 66-1 completely and did a quick stoning of the trigger return spring housing before replacing the spring. SA trigger pull was reduced from 3 1/2 pounds to 2 1/2 pounds; DA was reduced from 10.2 pounds to 8 pounds. Took it out and ran more than 100 rounds of my handloaded wadcutters primed with CCI primers (noted to be one of the hardest) with zero FTFs. I'll be getting more of these for my favorite Smiths.
Nice improvement
Installed it in my Smith model 69 using the 13# return spring, made a very nice improvement to the trigger and Im getting 100% ignition on my loads using Winchester primers
Spring Kit for SW Revolver
very good
Great upgrade.
This kit is installed on my Smith 66-4, 2.5" barrel. Wow, I admit after installing this kit using the 12 lb rebound and the supplied mainspring, the action seemed so light - less than 8 lb using my trigger scale I was afraid to carry until tested. I mean, it's night and day. First 2 cylinders fired were Speer Gold Dot magnums. No issues. I shot Speer, Federal, Remington and Winchester. I had two failures to fire on first strike on two OLD Winchester loads - and one of them had gone through the washer and dryer. Other than that, everything worked great. Unbelievable, and what an improvement.
Nice spring set
Excellent quality. Easy to install and works as advertised.
