6arc 20" Barrel
Shipping and working with Brownells went incredibly smoothly. Break in went well. Unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to complete any factory ammunition testing. Everything seems to be functioning as intended, I do wish there was a longer and heavier barrel profile available.
***Big warning*** there are no 10rnd magazines in existence for this barreled action in this caliber. In the process of developing a 3D printed option. Wish someone had let me know about this before purchasing
6 ARC Howa 1500
Great quick shipping. This 20” 6 ARC barreled action seems nice enough. I did spend time honing the bolt with J-B bore compound and ultra fine bore finish. Right out of the box the trigger is at a clean crisp 2# pull. I put it in a Boyds at-one stock (that’s all that’s available right now) with an Arken 6-24x50 SH4J Gen ll and 20 MOA rail. Broke the barrel in with 25 shots and cleaning in between and sighted it in at 100. Three five shot groups were a touch less than 1 MOA. Took it to the range and shot, 200 (1 click), 300 (4 clicks), 350 (5.5 clicks), 400 (7.5 clicks), 450 (9.5 clicks) and 500 (11.5 clicks) with Hornady 108 match. All groups were within 1 moa at each distance once dialed in. At 400 yards it seemed amazing as the groups were 2-3”. Should note it also has a Hellfire match muzzle brake. Overall it’s a good little shooter for the money. I plan on sanding and fitting the stock and then bedding it.

Good, Not Great.
Purchased the 20 inch Heavy Barrel a few months back, it arrived quickly and in good condition. Upon opening the box the first thing I noticed was the Heavy Barrel is not very heavy, nothing like a varmint barrel and the bolt action is not smooth and a bit stiff. I had ordered or had everything else I needed to put it together, so I dropped it into a Southern Cross chassis (not recommended), mounted a 3-15x50 Burris XTR II scope in a set of Seekins rings, installed a muzzle brake and a Gun Bloke 1.5lb. trigger spring kit to get it ready to shoot. I do not reload, so I tested three 6 ARC loads that Hornady makes, the 108 grain Match was its favorite with average groups about an inch with a best group of of 3/4". After a 100 rounds or so, the bolt smoothed out some, and it feeds reliably. Still wish the barrel was heavier. For the money it is a good value.

6mm ARC Howa 20” barreled action mini
To echo the other reviewer, this is a 1 in 7.5” twist not 1-8”. Received it a couple days ago fit and finish looks on par with other Howas I’ve handled. Matte finish. I love the trigger. Unfortunately I have no ammo yet. I have a carbon fiber Stockys stock I’m currently bedding for this. Should make a nice light package with SWFA ultralight 2.5-10. Only four stars until I can actually shoot it. Bottom metal is not metal at all as expected but functional. That upgrade is on the way as I type.
