10/22® RECEIVER DRILLING JIG Reviews & Ratings

10/22 RECEIVER DILLING JIG

The Brownells Receiver Drilling Jig for Ruger 10/22 allows the user to accurately drill a hole into the rear of the Ruger 10/22 receiver. This drilled hole permits barrel cleaning from the rear without removing the barrel. Cleaning from the rear eliminates accuracy-destroying cleaning rod wear caused by cleaning from the muzzle. The Brownells Receiver Drilling Jig attaches to the right side of the action and locates the correct spot at the rear of 10/22® receivers for drilling. Instructions are included.

Good product..
I purchased this item not long ago, and I think it's a fine tool. One of my customers requested that I bore a hole in the rear of the receiver so that he may clean his 10/22 barrel from the rear. It works fine, however, you must disassemble the receiver parts to use it. I feel that this would be a valuable item if used on a 10/22 with a match barrel installed, especially a threaded type. A factory barrel can be removed easily for cleaning and would be much eaiser than disassembly of the firearm. I've only used this tool once, however, it's very handy to have when you might need it.
