10/22® EXTENDED MAGAZINE RELEASE

10/22® EXTENDED MAGAZINE RELEASE Reviews & Ratings

Extends half an inch farther out than the "flush" factory release so it's easier to hit and operate when you're in a hurry to change magazines. Thin, compact shape won't poke you in the back if you carry your rifle in a sling. Installs without gunsmithing.

SPECS: CM steel, blue, matte finish. Extends .430" (11mm) from bottom of receiver.

Just what I needed.
The 10/22 Blue Mag release is a perfect fit with positive plunger engagement so my factory mags drop out as they should.

What was looking for
Looking for one like for some years now for my Oct 1994 model 10/22 , easy to install , works perfect, does not get bumped , easy to work, even looks factory

Great product!
It took longer to break the rifle down than it did to install this part. This was a nice addition to 1993 10/22 that had the flush magazine release. No issues now releasing magazines in my 10/22.

Greatly eases releasing a magazine
Factory magazine release was stiff and did not drop the magazine easily, had to get a good grip on the magazine and pull or flip it out with a screw driver/car key. This magazine release is as easy as pushing the lever with a knuckle and the magazine will drop free. Basically how the factory release should be, I highly recommend this to anyone with a 10/22.

vast improvement over stock mag. release
This mag release is a great improvement to the stock mag release that is flush with the rifle. Easy installation, better feel than polymer.

Very good for older 10/22's
Older 10/22's need these releases. Maybe that's why new ones come with similar ones installed? Only one problem: The description said it is blued, but mine is parkerized. Not a problem, but (barely) worth noting. Parkerized steel is more rust-resistant than blued.

Work's great
Installs easy, works goood, just a flick of your finger and the mag. drops. Good product and the price is right.

Works well, but dimensions are small.
Good quality and very sturdy. It functions very well, not too long and not too short. My only issue is the dimensions are on the small side, making the part sit loosely in the trigger. It even rattles. Even when a magazine is inserted it will rattle. This could give away your position if your sneaking up on game. Other than that it works.

Much needed upgrade
Solid replacement for the flimsy plastic and far too small original release. Easy to swap out and SOLID. Only gripe is the edge seeing that the mag release and bolt release are in tight quarters. The edges are not sharp per say but would serve tiny and weaker hands much better to be rounded out. I am not a small shooter nor have weak hands and this is an annoyance for me. A side note, I will never buy Ruger again!!!! the "need" for this product and others on the 10-22 are ridiculous. The 10-22 is supposed to be one of the most reliable platforms in existance and was purchaed for a new shooter. I have had to perform more modifications and cleaning up from a lack of proper fit or finish due to Ruger manufacturing.

Great design, will last a lifetime
All steel, dimensionally perfect for hi-cap magazines. This is the only mag catch that I tried to accommodate the Pro-Mag Archangel Nomad magzine with sleeve, except the vintage Eagle polymer magazine catch of the 1980's. I would have given it a 5-star if the part has been serrated for non-slip operation and aesthetics. I have added a 20 l.p.i. on the paddle and it work even better and looks phenomenal. Excellent price tag.
