IMR ENDURON® 4166 SMOKELESS RIFLE POWDER

IMR Enduron 4166 is a versatile, match-grade propellant, with the fastest burn rate in the Enduron line. It is an extruded powder with a perfect burn speed for cartridges like 308 Winchester, 7.62mm NATO, 22-250 Remington or 257 Roberts, among other cartridges. The main features of the Enduron series are copper fouling eliminator, insensitivity to temperature changes, ideal loading density and being environmentally friendly.

This propellant performs comparably to Hodgdon Varget but charge weights are materially different.

Smooth flowing..good shooting

Have been using this to reload my 308. My target shooting accuracy has gone up. Although this could be from a number of factors, powder does play a key role.

Great for moderate calibers

With Varget becoming harder to find than Unicorn manure 4166 has become my do it all powder for 308Win. I'm not someone who chases speed. I mostly load 168-178gr bullets. IMR4166 has given me outstanding results.

Great powder from a great company

This was my second order from Brownells. I received great service in a timely professional manner. I reloaded some 308 rounds with IMR 4166 and recently had an opportunity to shoot these. Unbelievably accurate even with a very light powder load. I would absolutely recommend Enduron IMR 4166 smokeless powder.

Varget replacement

I bought this powder since Varget was unavailable. Every bit as consistent and accurate as Varget! I use it in .223 AR,.223 bench rest with a Remington 700 and .308 Remington 700. As long as this is available, I will stick to this over Varget.

Great temp insensitive powder

My last order was my third 8 lb. batch if IMR4166 Enduron powder. IMR4166 provides great accuracy in my .308s and with 69 and 77 grain bullets in my .223s and is very consistent in both calibers. It is much less temperature sensitive than IMR4064, IMR4895, H4895, and N140. It is almost as temperature insensitive as Varget but has provided better results and consistency across a variety of bullet weights.

IMR 4166 .... Love this powder

IMR 4166 Enduron is a great replacement for my IMR 4064. My barrel rifling and bore remains cleaner. Less residue and carbon from repeated firing. MOA accuracy improved and maintained over a board spectrum of environmental changes. Thanks IMR for a great powder.

Very accurate powder

Been using this powder since it first came out.Better accuracy then varget in two of my 308 guns with factory barrels.using 175 gr SMK shooting .5 Moa 3 shot groups and .6-.7 moa 5 shot groups CONSISTENTLY .very clean burning and temp stable.hard to beat varget but some barrels have different taste.if you can't get the accuracy your wanting from varget try 4166. You just might be surprised.
