Terrible product
I’ve purchased multiple cans Can delivered the same Results Absolutely terrible product. How dare you sell something with such pork quality you should be ashamed of yourself stop selling Aluma. It is complete garbage.
Horrible
All three cans of Brownells Aluma Hyde II Magpul FDE performed as seen in these photos. Instructions were followed 100%. Absolute waste of money. Buyer beware.
Bad Paint
Brand new lower requiring completely ruined due to bad chunky paint. I read reviews and shook it for 20mins straight during the drive to the Lowes for painters tape. The ball inside rattled as it should. Upon starting the paint job, I tested the texture on the walls of a cardboard box. Less than 10% of the paint was used in the can when it began CHUNKING paint onto the lower. I kept at it hoping the chucks would dissolve. This left my lower looking like a ceiling texturing. I will bite the 20$ loss and just get the gun properly cerokote once and for all. Please avoid this product if you would like to avoid my situation. Aluma-Hyde II Earth Brown shouldn't get one star.
Don't buy, waist of money.
Product was defective and no returns avoid, get cerakote instead.
I don't know?
Absolute perfect match for Magpul FDE, but. After 40 minutes of shaking, temps at 85*, using the big nozzle to clear the first round, all seamed good but then the squirts started. Cleared and shook more but all the way thru the rest of the can got intermittent spurts. Just one good spurt ruins the job. I'd love to try again but it just seems too much work can get wasted with intermittent solids. I know it works for some, but for me, I don't think I can trust it again. Too bad because it's a beautiful color. BTW, I am an experienced painter of 40yrs+...and I followed the video.
Mixed Experience with Product, Outstanding Customer Service
I recently purchased (Coyote/ OD Green) and unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory. Despite diligently following the instructional videos and going above and beyond the provided guidance, the product turned out to be quite subpar. The label instructions were notably inadequate, and even with the supposed clear out nozzles, several cans failed to spray properly.
However, amidst the product woes, I want to highlight the exceptional customer service I received from Lauren at the call center. She went above and beyond to assist me, providing detailed instructions and helping me replace several of the defective cans. Lauren's dedication was evident in her efforts to ensure my satisfaction. Not only did she address my concerns, but she also took the extra step to add specific notes for replacement orders, accommodating my requests for different batch dates.
In a situation where the product fell short, Lauren's professionalism and commitment to customer service stood out. Despite the initial disappointment with the product, the positive interaction with Lauren has left me with a more favorable impression. Her phenomenal job in assisting me deserves recognition, and I appreciate the dedication she exhibited in resolving the issues I encountered.
Thank you, Lauren, for turning a frustrating experience into a positive one through your outstanding customer service. I hope Brownells figures out how to reliably offer this product to the consumer. The current iterations are unacceptable.
Absolute Garbage
This stuff is absolute garbage!! I couldn’t be more disappointed. Followed all the directions to the letter but when I started the application this stuff sprayed out like silly string. Couldn’t get it corrected. Emptied most of the can but nothing changed. Extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone.
ALUMA-HYDE II
The paint is un-usable. It comes out as a gluey like substance even after shaking, shaking, and shaking. I think I read where this problem had been resolved but apparently not.
Stay away this paint is junk
Tried to return ordered 2 cans used one and it came out okay after rifle was almost painted and then it just splattered as it sprayed out and cost me hours of cleaning my rifle off and there offer was they would send me replacement cans after this happened no sorry not spending hours cleaning my gun after I spent 43 dollars on junk paint
Not worth the risk
I’ll keep it brief, out of all of the paints for temperature coating this is the worst. The paint solidifies into a thick glue that either oozes out or comes out in chunks even after vigorous shaking. 2 new cans sprayed out chunks that ruined both coatings on my rifles. I would consider other paint products and cannot recommend this to anyone.
