Be Very Careful

I recently ordered this product and used it to cleas several rifles this past weekend. As a bore cleaner, this product worked great. I was amazed at what I removed from a barrel that I had cleaned with my old standby bore cleaner. The problem with this product, as I discovered too late is that one needs to be very careful if your weapon has anything other than a synthetic stock. I have a custom 6.5 Jap Arasaki with a beautiful wood stock. I failed to notice I got some of this product on the stock. When I removed the stock from the cleaning vice I discovered that where the product had touched the stock the finish had softened and as I cleaned the stock the finish was removed every place there was product. None of the instructions accompanying the product warn one not to allow the product to come into contact with high gloss stocks. This is why I give the product a 2 rating.

Eliminates money from your bank account.

People that think this effectively cleans your bore must not have a bore scope. This product is for light cleaning at most. Bore Tech Carbon Eliminator is better (but takes a lot of time) at cleaning in my experience.
