Modified to work
This product will not work with the python factory wooden grips. I modified my speed loader with a belt sander to work as long as one of the flats is parallel to the grip
Nice price reliable device !
I bought 4 HKS revolver speed loaders for my S&W Model 29 revolver along with 2 carry pouches to wear on my belt about 10 years ago. They work great for handgun hunting, target shooting at the range and if the situation arose, self defense. Compared to Safariland's speed loaders they are not as fast. These speed loaders are definitely faster than individually loading rounds one at a time into your revolvers cylinder.
.357 Mag S&W 686, 7-Shot
little difficult to assess the function of the device but once mastered it was very effective.
Good for 38
Works really well with my s&w 19-5 snub, with 38 spl, less with the 357... and I don't have a large grip!
Perfect accesory for any revolver
Keep an extra charge of rounds around for your six-shooter. I've learned anything with HKS on it is good stuff! Unlike a loose loaded magazine for an auto, these are not considered as a loaded handgun in a car. Example: as of writing this, inside the city limits of Denver, without a concealed carry permit, one cannot lawfully carry an auto-feed handgun in a vehicle with a loaded magazine, whether or not it is inserted. Apparently, this does not apply to a revolver & speed loader.
Works perfectly
The HKS PY-A speedloader work excellent for the Colt Python. These speedloaders are easier to fill then the Safariland and load the cylinder almost as fast. The HKS has the edge in long term durability. The Safariland Comp II is still a better choice for competition.
It's a little stiff when new
I had a hard time getting the bullets to lock into place. they wouldn't lock into the holes and stay. It's getting better and using it is a bit tricky too. I guess with practice I'll master it, but so far I find it hard to use.
Try again !
Will not work on a King Cobra with a wood grip not sure about any other grips , 3 stars because of description but product look well make just would work because grip stick out to far and bines it go in and You may have to remove grip to get loader out of cylinder !
HKS 36-A bad for 442
I tried these for my S&W 442 and they have yet to make a flawless drop into the cylinder. They jam against all the grips I've tried and I would never trust these in any situation outside of trivial range time. Seems like a quality product, they're just poorly suited to my snubbie. I rely on the rudimentary Bianchi Speed Strips.
Speed loaders do not fit my handgun, my fault ...
My speed loaders do not fit my Smith & Wesson. I mistakenly thought it was a model 29 all these years.
My gun is a model 66-2
.357 magnum.
I would like info on how to return the loaders I was sent.
Or buy the 66-2 loaders I need.
I opened one package by cutting the plastic bubble enough to get the roller out.
Thank you
