Easy-to-use, self-contained boresighting system fits in the chamber of your rifle or pistol and projects a powerful red laser beam aligned with the bore axis for sighting to the point-of-aim without firing a shot. Works with scopes, holographic red dot sights, and “iron” sights. Durable, machined brass housing looks like a cartridge case but actually contains the entire laser system and batteries. Insert the batteries and screw the cap on the housing to turn on the laser; remove the batteries to turn off. Insert the entire assembly into the chamber, gently close the action, and aim at a target 20-30 yards away. Adjust windage and elevation of the scope or sights so point-of-aim is zeroed on the dot, compensating for sight offset to prevent gun from shooting high. Go to the range for test shots and final sight adjustments. Store boresighter in the included nylon carrying case that fits easily in a pocket, tool kit, or range bag. Available in a variety of calibers, listed below.

Off Center Beam

.223 Sightmark laser beam was off center and not concentric with the barrel's bore. Rolling it on a table, and measuring the diameter of the circumscribed arc was approx. 35mm ( 1.31").

Absolute garbage

Purchased this boresighter to do an initial zero on a newly added laser on my Beretta PX4 Storm. Lined the guns laser spot exactly on the boresight laser at the distance I was targeting and not a single round out of 5 touched paper. Next lined the guns laser using the guns sight picture, put all 5 rounds on the paper. Avoid this piece of junk at all costs.

Not impressive

Not accurate. I used it to sight in a a Trijicon RMR on a Glock 19 Gen 5 at 15 yards. I installed the Boresighter and compared it to the Red Dot of the RMR. The 2 dots were about 6" apart at 15 yards. I made no adjustments. I removed the Boresighter then put it back on the weapon. The laser was then 2" from the Red Dot. Again, no adjustments were made. I removed and reinstalled a 3rd, 4th and 5th time. Each time the Boresight laser was in a different position relative to the RMR red dot. Its inconsistency makes it pretty useless.

Waste of money and ammo

I dialed my scope in to the laser, and could not even get on paper at the range. You can change the point of aim just by gently shaking the rifle with the laser inserted in the chamber. Waste of money, and even worse, waste of precious .308 ammo.

Defective Product

Tried the boresight with my Colt 45 1911A1 which also has Crimson Trace grips. The boresight was way off target in reference to both my iron sights and Crimson laser which has been sighted in to the gun. Not sure how this product could get any review other then do not buy the product.

DON"T DO IT!

Picked this up for my Glock 23, that I just installed adjustable Meprolights on, thinking I could fine tune with it. The pistol was shooting a little low and to the left. According to this it was shooting waaay high and to the right. Adjusted the sights anyway, and was missing the target completely from 7 yards! Don't waste your money!
