The best for everything!
I first discovered AeroKroil while working at a Power Plant. Used for everything from loosening nuts to 5 foot long valve stems. Works on all metals, and in all conditions. One time, I accidentally got it in both eyes. Washed out easily with no noticeable irritation (maybe just lucky). I wouldn't want to leave it on the finish tho. It soaks into everything! I'd be lost without my can of AeroKroil for just about everything. Altho it doesn't really matter for it's use, unlike some of the other reviews, I like the way it smells, too.
Excellent, versatile product.
I have used Kroil on everything from guns to cars, and it continues to perform. This is, in my opinion, one of, if not the best penetrating oils on the market. It has not damaged any firearm finish for me, whether blued, painted, or otherwise. Excellent product for loosening rusted-in screws or pins, or removing surface rust from metal. It will also prevent corrosion on unfinished surfaces.
Saves tools, cleans guns, shames WD-40
I had a furnace guy over who had a cannel lock he could barely open. A little of this stuff and it was like new. I have also been using it as the final clean on my barrels. Run a patch with Kriol down a barrel that has been passing clean patches with everything else, let sit 15-20 min, you would be amazed at what it gets out on the next patch. Just make sure that you don't let the can tip over, it will find its way through the treads on the cap it left too long.
great product !!
I have used Kroil for many years on most everything , It loosens rusted nuts , use as a lube on wet stones to sharpen knifes, cleans your firearms bores, if you can think of it it can be used for that , great stuff
It's more than an oil!
As a Quality Inspector and journeyman toolmaker I can assure this oil will get into the ten thousands(.0000) of an inch tight areas. I use this to lubricate thread gages for aerospace threads and it keeps gaging free. It cleans sharpening stones and loosens dirt like nothing else.
Kroil + J-B Bore Compound = perfection!
This is a fine industrial product with more than 50 years of excellence, which has arrived to the firearms market through the professional shooters, when they decided to share their "secret" of how to keep the weapons in good condition, i.e. perfect accuracy. In my case, I shoot only handguns with 3" barrel therefore the condition of the bore is critical. Kroil is a good aid to keep my wheel guns 100% operational. I got all the best American products to clean and maintain firearms, but normally I select Kroil with a saturated patch & jag. Then, I wait a half an hour and pass a clean dry patch. Now, to get best results I finish the chore with Kroil + J-B Bore Compound. This last for me is a must to obtain a mirror shine of the bores. Final results are outstanding. Espaol. Este producto industrial de excelencia, fue introducido al tema de la limpieza y mantencin de armas por los tiradores profesionales que compartieron su "secreto" de cmo mantener las armas lo ms precisas posible. El aceite Kroil deja muy limpios los caones de las armas, sin embargo, la combinacin de aceite Kroil + pasta J-B aplicado con un jag del calibre del can, asegura un resultado espectacular con un brillo de espejo.
Awesome Cleaning Product
I first used Kroil when the steel mill I work at purchased it. It really penetrates, cleans and breaks up rust. I now use it on my firearms as a hobby gunsmith and competitive shooter. I use it for CLEANING only and do not leave on as a protectant. I've had some really rusty guns brought in to be worked on and it's disolved the rust completely so I wouldn't want it setting on blued parts.
Does the job
This is the best penetrating oil I have ever used in 20+ years of shooting. Great for cleaning really dirty rim fires and there is nothing better for removing or separating rusty parts, nothing. This is not meant to be a general firearms lubricating oil, but in it's role it has no equal.
The best penetrating oil I,ve ever used.
Used this oil for many years in our shop. It's a great product that does the job. It has a strong odor, but if you want a penetrating oil that works, suck it up and get over it.
Best ever for .22 rim fires
Best ever for removing lead and the worst carbon build up in .22 rim fire firearms and in the removal of lead from the rifling from firing of lead cast bullets in other firearms. Soak bore, let set over night but generally within 2 hours use a bore brush to remove lead and carbon from bore, repeat as needed dry patch when done.
