The second generation Brownells 1911 magazines combine heavy duty construction with the reliability you've come to expect from a century old service weapon.

The body and follower are constructed from heat treated stainless steel, with witness holes for a fast round count. Xylan~ exterior coating provides corrosion protection, as well as a slick, friction reducing finish. The anti-tilt follower is mated with an extra-power spring.

The removable polymer base pad allows easy disassembly, as well as drop protection when changing magazines on the fly.

9mm mags

I bought 3 magazines and all 3 worked perfectly when fully loaded. They dropped freely from the Colt mag well when released. For carry purposed I would consider the shorter mags. I experienced no failures to feed.

A little known bargain

I now have six of these. Three in 45 and 3 in 9mm. I have found them to be of very high quality. The finish seems very durable, and the follower positively locks the slide back on any of my 1911s. They drop free with no problem, hold the appropriate number of rounds and work well with a variety of 1911 manufacturer's products. I highly recommend these magazine for a variety of uses if you have the 1911 platform in 9mm or 45 acp.

Better than expected

Recently purchased a 9mm 1911 and the Brownells mags are better than the magazine supplied with the pistol. The followers in the Brownells mags are superior to the manufacturer supplied magazine with said pistol and are easier to load to a full 10rnds, and eject smoother. I purchased a 3pack and could not be happier with my purchase. 11/10, would recommend.

Flawless Right Out of the Box

I had my first Steel Challenge match coming up and needed more magazines. I figured if I didn't enjoy the competition, I might as well get some bargain ones. Not a single problem I had that day was due to these magazines. I would buy again.

Nice mags

The mags look nice. They seem to be made solid, finish is a flat black, and fit nice, and lock the slide back every time in my Rock Island 1911. Great price

Great magazines

Ive purchased six of these for use in two different 9mm 1911 pistols. They feed everything Ive tried in them flawlessly. The sole drawback (which is shared by similar 1911 mags) is that they are difficult to manually download. After putting several hundred rounds thru them I trust them implicitly.

Great Mags problem FREE.

I shoot IPSC weekly and this is my second order of the 3 pack. They fall free from my Springfield 1911 Range officer no issues . Base pads remove easily for cleaning.

Works well in RIA 1911

I bought a Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra FS Combo with both the 9mm and the 22TCM barrels. It only came with one magazine. These mags work great for the 9mm, but the 22TCM is just a bit too long to work in them. Ive only tried one box of 22TCM though. Ive heard they vary a bit. Oh well. I plan on shooting the 9mm more anyway. Also, the 9mm loads much better in these mags compared to the one factory mag that appears to be made more for the 22TCM. I will be buying more of these.
