Hard to beat an XTP
I have shot A LOT of XTP bullets in 9mm, 40 S&W, 10mm Auto, and 44 mag/Spl. Needless to say they just plain work and are accurate. XTP's may not be the new fangled hollow points of today but given their performance even today I'll still load and shoot them.
Great for 380 APC
Shipped and received promptly, easy to load in my 380 cases..can't wait to get out on the range and give them a test ride....
Shooting Subsonic
Works great in my Marlin T/B 357/38 Shooting 38s @ 850/900 FPS quiet for sure
Cost/Effect ratio great
For plinking or S/D great round Would recommend
Works for 32/20 std. load
I use these in a 32/20 Winchester 92. This rifle with 5.0 grs Unique will put 10 shots in two inches at 50 yards with the original iron sights. This rifles barrel has some pitting, but still shoots well at original load velocities.
Very Accurate in my Browning 1892
These 180's are most accurate in my Browning 1892 that refuses to group anything heavier because of Browning's poor choice of rifling and twist (early on in the 70's I guess). At 50 yards they group within 2-inches behind moderate Unique powder loads.
Great in my single shot rifle
Iv'e used these bullets to take five whitetail deer in my CVA rifle. I have yet to recovered any bullets from game because they have passed right through showing good expansion. These bullets do not look like good rifle bullets but for short range shots here in Michigan they work great in mine.
Bullseye competion
CMP allowed the use of 185Gr in lieu of the 230Gr for completion. I have been shooting the Hornady 185 for 2-yrs now and found them to be a good choice. Using a light load than factory, the round still feeds well in the Colt, Springfield and Less Bear.
Great muzzleloader hunting bullet
Have been using these Hornady bullets in my NEF Sidekick cal .50 for the past 10-15 years. Two pellets of Triple Seven punching this bullet at around 1800 fps - whitetail don't have a chance to get away. Chest shots create massive damage to heart, lungs; neck shot drops deer where they stand.
Accurate
Loaded these for my 5.5" Redhawk, 25yds 4 shots in 1" fifth was a old eye flyer brought the group to 2", over 11.5 grs of Unique Federal mag primers Starline brass. Nice.
