Great barrel
3 gun Self defense Was a little worried at first But cycles great and goes well With 2+ mag extension Wish I would have known it will do 3.5" I would have gotten it much earlier
Damaged
The barrel is fine but when installed it did not sit fully in place and on disassembly the ratchet pin flung out into the distance never to be seen again, I still put the barrel on and it sat fine and fired just the ratchet pin problem, later I mostly replaced the pin by making a new pin from a fence tie and foam in the slot, I don't plan on removing it. it's now locked down well, very fun to shoot
Minor Ramp Job required
Barrel fit is tighter in reciver than the OEM barrel but there is no ramp for shells to enter without jamming so one has to "free lance" their own ramp otherwise a jam results. Other than that issue I would express it appears to be well made product comnplete with Carlson well made SS chokes!
Rust
I received the Barrel, it was covered in orange rust dust. Nothing too serious yet but still quite annoying.
Interferes with forend during pumping
When cycling the stock forend with this barrel, the mount that holds the ring to the barrel gets in the way. This makes the forend stick when pumping. I had to physically sand down the forend where it was contacting the barrel. For this price point further modification should not be needed.
Not USA made
Some positives, but make in Turkey which is known for poor quality shotgun production. Would have appreciated that info listed. The front sight cannot be modified to switch out standard aftermarket from sight options if you get the rifle sights version. I would look for another brand for a replacement barrel.
Nope
Windage screw would not hold the rear sight in place. I removed it, and found that the threads on the sight (not the screw itself) were stripped. So, my woods gun is a no-go just 2 days before opening.
