Do NOT order if you have M1A
The M1 Buddy WILL work on both the M1 and M1A, but the Muzzle Buddy will NOT work on the M1A Super Match that I have. I do NOT have an M1 to test it on, but if you are ordering this for use with an M1A Super Match (or an M1A with the same flash suppressor as the M1A Super Match), just order the M1 Buddy on it's own. I gave this 3 stars because the M1 Buddy works awesome, but the Muzzle Buddy will not work work for me. I HIGHLY recommend the M1 Buddy.

Worthless if you have a scope mount!
It appears to be a great idea....IF one does NOT have a scope mounted. This will NOT fit under my SEI mount.I have tried everything short of forcing it in. Oh Well...Back to a rag jammed in the mag well.

It works, well kind of works.
This product is supposed to snap in, it does not. It loosely sits in place as long as you do not tip the rifle. It is molded to the shape of the action but has at least 1/16" between its edges and the action's surfaces. If you want this to work the best bet I can think of would be to apply grease or wax to the receiver and then use RTV sealant on the M1 Buddy to make the fit what it should be.

Avoid....Doesn't Fit M1 Garand as stated
Doesn't fit on the end of the muzzle AND a standard .30 cal jag/patch won't fit through the inner diameter of the guide. Receiver end piece won't stay in place with the bolt closed. AVOID, and buy the Sinclair muzzle guide/bore guide instead.
