Works fine in the old .22’s I collect but the battery wire interferes with getting the lazar cartridge to seat fully. With some manipulation it centers fine. Works with some help in .22 Mag as well.

Laser BoreSighter
Bought to use getting a rough zero on 38 special handguns with laser grips. Every cylinder is a slightly different laser point so the laser must not be centered in the device. Works fine enough to get on paper.
Indispensable
This has been indispensable to me for sighting in a new scope and rifle without going to the range. You can clearly see it at 50 yds in dim light or IR. The battery lifetime is low ...about 15-30 minutes with decreasing intensity. It also is not capable of closing your bolt numerous times or pulling the trigger without deforming its case and threaded battery compartment. It takes 3 bolt closure's to fully seat and align the laser in my Ruger .223 RPR barrel. Regardless of its present limitations, it is well worth the money.

Subsequent Test(s)
I had previously reviewed the .45 ACP Sightmark after testing mine. I found its alignment was 0.033-degrees in error, and gave it three stars. Curiosity remained, so I re-tested over a longer distance and with better lighting and marking controls. I now find the average columation error to be only 0.0124-degrees, and I would now give it four stars. My previous comments remain as before.
Building my tool stock
This is the second .30 bore sighter I've purchased, and the first in chamber laser. I have yet to test it out, so this is a preliminary review.
Boresighter test
Noticing a negative review of a Sightmark boresighter (for a .40 Glock) I decided to test my own .45 Sightmark to see if the beam was in alignment with the case (and barrel). I marked an index on the rear of the case and set it in a sturdy cradle with the index at the 0000-position and projected it at an indoor target 18 ft away, and marked the spot. I then rotated the boresighter index to the 0300-position and marked the spot. Thence, the 0600- and 0900-positions. The average deviation from the center of the pattern was 1/8", indicating a possible error of 0.033-degrees of arc. At HD ranges, that is probably acceptable, but I would recommend buyers do their own tests and return the piece if the results are not acceptable for the required use. I agree with others that the original batteries are not too robust, and premium batteries are in order as the laser's draw is significant.
Well
Maybe it didnt sink in the bore, but I sighted mine up with my Romeo first and tested that out. I shot a round through and it was 6 clicks off. 3up, 3 right.
