BEST THING EVER
I started using Bore Tech's Copper and Carbon remover several years ago. Both fantastic products. However, I had a container of the Eliminator which I opened when running low on the Copper and Carbon remover. Haven't used anything else since. I wrap a patch around a chamber brush, and put a liberal amount of Eliminator on it and douse the chamber, letting it sit. I then run a few very WET patches through the bore, then go about my business. An hour or so later, a few passes with a brush, followed by patches of Eliminator, depending on how much I want to clean the copper out, and I'm good to go. I am careful to remove all traces from the chamber and the barrel, not because I'm concerned that leaving the Eliminator in is an issue, purely for consistency. Use it on all gun parts, including the bolt. Using Bore Tech Proof Positive brushes and jags is a real eye opener.
Cleans Barrels Doesn't Stink
I've been using it for years. Thoroughly cleans barrels of copper and carbon. No strong chemical smell. Good product.
Works Well
Seems to get my barrels clean without the strong chemical smell.
My favorite!
Works great in handguns & rifles, gets carbon & copper fouling out quickly. In 40+ years of shooting, this is the best cleaner Ive found yet!
It worked...a little too well!
I left a carbon caked AR bolt in this solution for just over a day and when I removed it, the carbon had been eaten away and the phosphate finish of the bolt had began to be removed, it turned into a grey-ish color and there was a clear line from where the bolt had be submerged into the solution. Still I don't feel the integrity of the bolt has been compromised. It also got the firing pin completely clean...it has been a long time since I have seen that thing look brand new. Definitely recommend this product...just don't leave parts soaking in for more than a couple hours.
Excellent Bore Tech Product
I use Bore Tech Eliminator in concert with the Bore Tech Chameleon Gel to fully clean my competition rifle barrels. I use both products per the manufacturer instructions. I initially pass 4 to 5 wet patches of the Eliminator thru the rifle bore. I then place the Chameleon Gel on a nylon bore brush and thoroughly scrub the rifle bore then let it sit for 5 minutes before making a second pass with 4 wet patches of the Eliminator and letting it soak the bore for 5 minutes. Lastly I pass dry patches thru the bore until all traces of copper fouling are gone, usually about 6 to 8 patches. Results are a clean bore free of any carbon and copper fouling.
The best
I have tried just about everything. This is the best bore cleaner on the market. Ive inspected with bore scope and it gets all the carbon and copper out. Also has no odor and is non toxic.
Great stuff!!
I use this stuff on all my firearms. Regular use makes for easy cleaning after a day at the range - less time and fewer patches. Eliminator does NOT have an obnoxious odor, which keeps my wife happy.
Best I've tried and I've tried ALOT
Not a big fan of the latest designer gun cleaning formulas, but this BTE is the best I've found. Use it in my M1A's, hand guns, 10/22, Rem ADL, and my Mosins after cleaning out salts if using corrosive loads. I never shoot garbage ammo anyway, but subsequent cleanings are so easy I had to light up the bores the first few times to see if was actually worked. And man, it DOES.
Best on the market.......Period !!
I am ordering my third 16OZ bottle of this product and must say that with all the other products I have used over the years this has by far the best results. I clean rifles and handguns for a living and need a product that works fast. All I can say is there claim's to be the best on the market are true. You want a job done right and fast this is the product for you. No room clearing smell is a plus also.
