Simply the best
Have been using Dewey rods for 40 years for cleaning my rifles and shotguns. The coating and ball bearing swivels keep the brush bristles down in the grooves to completely clean the bore. I like to use the more heavy duty rifle brushes in my pistol bores. More bristles and longer than pistol length brushes and last many times longer. This 12 rod allows the use of the rifle length brushes in my handguns. Sorry I cant list any cons, there just arent any.
Just long enough for the Ruger Precision
I have had a .22 caliber Dewey rod for years and it is still going strong. I needed a longer rod for a magnum Ruger Precision Rifle and I definitely wanted a Dewey. This rod is the perfect length to make it from the back of the receiver to just past the muzzle brake. Extremely well built and way stiffer than my .22 caliber rod. This rod with a Parker Hale style jag is the only way to go.
Best Quality
I put off buying the best when it came to gun cleaning rod! Glad I finally purchased a quality Dewey Rod ... well made one piece cleaning rod that wont damage my barrels
Always quality with Dewey
This Is dewey rod #7 for me I believe and not that one has ever failed. I just have certain specific rods for specific guns. I have a few rifles with 30" or longer barrels so longer rods are needed. I also have two standard length rods for my 22"-26" barrels. My first rod was recommended to be by a long time shooter that is very picky about everything he invests in. so based on his recommendation it was pretty easy to part with the money to get a somewhat expensive rod. I had been using those cheep outers and Hoppes kits for decades, and those kits are just flat junk. The rods are soft aluminum or brass if you are lucky enough to have an older kit. the rods are never straight. they only work pulling brushes and patches through a barrel they are just junk. So the first time you use a dewey rod you will find that things work a lot better. the nylon coating prevents barrel damage although it is extremely difficult to damage a barrel with a cleaning rod. These rods are also great for bumping out a live round if you seated the bullet out a little to far. they won't dislodge something that is really stuck but if just slipped of the extractor this rod will most likely remove it. The jags fit well with cotton patches be advised dewey has no idea what patch you are using so some experimentation in in order to get a proper fit. never force anything down the barrel of a gun I don't have one bad thing to say about dewey rods.

I very pleased
Now I have 2 of the best cleaning rods on the market. And it came in only 5 days. Great shipping.
The best cleaning coated rod there is...
I moved to Dewey after using Safariland coated rods. The coat on this rod will surely last a long time if it would wear out! Great investment in protecting your rifling and bore during cleaning! I went and bought this .223 rod as after seeing the performance of the .308 and pistol rods! Buy this product with confidence and you'll be glad you did.
The best cleaning rods
Dewey cleaning rods are the best! I like that they are plastic coated and easy to wipe off debris, you dont have to worry about scratching the bore of your rifle. Also they are rigid enough to push patches or brushes thorough the rifle bore without bending. Deweys customer service is #1! I had water enter the handle of one of my cleaning rod which caused the ball bearings to rust. Dewey sent me replacement bearings plus a few extras at not cost. I highly recommend!
Everything should be this good.
Absolutely the best rod I've ever used. Never want another brand again. Getting a longer 30 cal one now. Some things just work well and this is one of them. I like that they come with a jag and an adapter for other brushes too. Very smooth operation. Never feel like you're damaging the barrel or scratching anything. Coating seems durable and thick. Threads meet up nicely on the tip also. Unlike bargain 3-4 piece rods.
Nice one piece cleaning rod
A nice one piece cleaning rod with a rotating handle. 12" length is excellent for pistols.
