Won't work on my Vortex scope

Bought this for my Vortex Viper PST 6-24 x 50. Unfortunately you cannot see the level unless you raise your head off the stock. Tried it on both sides, forward, and all the way back on the scope. I'll be returning it and buying a US Optics rail mount. Hopefully I'll be able to see it. Looked to be made well, just won't work.

Poor construction

Screws pop when applying torque was only set to 10lbs bottom screw is in an incredibly hard to reach area doesn't seem well thought out will be returning

Mounting screws loose

Bought 2. When tightening mounting screw suddenly popped loose. Then noticed screw very loose in screw hole. Examined others and all noted loose. Screw on other side of mount also would pop loose when tightened. Was careful not to strip threads. Note that other bubble level tightened OK but was conservative in how much torque applied to screw (did not want to scratch nice scope). Bottom line: poor machining or mismatch with screw size. Am returning. Will spend more for more reliable quality although only paper punching. If lives were at stake would not trust.
