BODY DIES

BODY DIES Reviews & Ratings

Body Dies are designed to full length resize the case body, bump the shoulder position for proper chambering, but not size the neck at all. They are made without internal parts and are intended for resizing cases which have become increasingly difficult to chamber after repeated firing. After using a body die, the case should be run through the neck die to achieve proper neck tension. Sold separately or as part of a set.

Would recommend this product
I use this die to set the shoulder back when my loaded ammo wont allow the bolt (AR) to close on the case, due to growing headspace. Great product when you have a tight chamber (Wylde)in a .223. Loaded 225 rounds and found out the shouilder needed to be pushed back. A quick trip thru a Redding body die and I was good to go.

Works great
I was originally looking for a Redding full length die with a bushing sizer for the neck, this die is a great alternative and lets me bump the shoulder back in a standard 7mm IHMSA chambering.

Works as advertised.
Awesome service with Brownells, as always. Thanks. The Redding body die helps eliminate case run-out . I use mine with a Lee collect die and have near zero run-out now and can set case shoulder for correct headspace with ease. The reason for only 4 stars is had to polish inside of die because it would cause vertical lines to appear on case body. After polishing problem solved.

Thoughts of a long time reloader
I started reloading in 1956, using the Lyman 310 tong tools. I've on occasion thought this type of die was needed. They do fill a spot in one's die needs. Esp. for those converting brass from one cartridge to another, etc.
