Easy to use. just what I wanted.
I burrowed a multi sear jig that was so complicated I was afraid to use it. So, I bought this simple jig and it worked great. Let's do it once and the correct way. This one will do it.
Works very well
This item works as advertised. Should last a lifetime. First time I have done a 1911 trigger job and with this I was able to obtain a consistent crisp 2lb trigger. Very solid construction. Thanks.
Great tool
Did my first ever trigger job with this tool. I used the ceramic stones recommended for this job and made relatively few passes with each. At the range I could not have been happier with the result, a very much improved break. No issues with function. I did find the tool somewhat awkward to use, as noted though it was my first ever trigger job. I am sure that with practice its use would/will become second nature.
Did the trick!
Very easy to use. Took the creep out of 2 of my 1911's in just a few strokes.
Works Great
Got this with a couple of stones. Cleaned up the creep and now I have a nice clean breaking trigger.
Perfect Jig, Great Price!!
Bought this to stone a new wilson combat sear. WOW. Can't believe how easy this made it. I have a crisp, smooth and clean breaking trigger now. This was my first ever "trigger job" So I'd recommend it to anyone staring off in the 1911 world.
Great 1911 sear jig for the money.
This jig is easy to use. The learning curve is very short if you know what you are doing. I used another one sold here at Brownells and the Brown Sear jig is set from the facory for the correct cutting angle. The shim is easey to hlod while stoning the sear. Because of the angle cut it is easy to hold the sear aginst the set screw wile stoning the sear. The directions are very well done.
Great Product
Don't know how you could do a quality trigger enhancement without one of these. My customers are very pleased with the results this tool can deliver. Recommended.
Worked well
I just used this jig today to tune up a Series 80 sear and it worked very well! The sear was pretty beat up, I am shocked it passed the safety tests before tear-down but this jig, 2 stones and now the sear is spot on. I would suggest you also purchase the Brownell pins which allow you to mount the sear/hammer on the outside of the pistol for fitting.
Perfect your sear
This was very easy to use. I have fairly large hands and this wasn't difficult to manipulate for me. I can see where really large hands my have a slight challenge using this. It comes with a shim, easy to read instructions, and is preset and ready to go to Ed Brown's specs. It is also adjustable for different sears and it's value priced. Using this properly, I don't see this ever wearing down. It got my sear perfect. The proverbial glass rod breaking is just a few stone strokes away. Very easy and didn't take much time. A magnifying glass helps to get a good close look at your work as you progress. Another great tool in my collection
