Magpul is synonymous with excellence!

Grips were purchased for an all around 1911 that is used for carry, range, and intense training. The Magpul grips fit perfectly and the scoop for driving the thumb to the mag release is an excellent touch. These will clean mud, blood, and dirt easily, and are built to last. With other manufacturer's grips running north of $70, it's hard to ignore these. Also, they are practically weightless, which is wonderful for a carry gun. Lastly, for the G10 lovers, there is a very grippy texture executed with the little Magpul logos. No need for stippling, but it's nice to know that the option is there should you wish to.

Nice grips and not to thin quality I have come to expect from magpull . Look great and fit my hand well.

Very comfortable

Fit well and comfortable in my hands. Only marked poor quality because there was one small ugly defect in the plastic on one of the grips.

1911 magpul grips

I tried these grips for a week. They are cheap plastic. I recieved the grips and the left side panel was warped. But was able to flex and fit my Colt Commander XSE. Just didnt feel right for me personally. If you like G10 or similar grips i don't think you will like these. I like something with more grip. Now for what i did like and the reasons for 2 stars. The scoop is nice for easy mag release, very lightweight, and wont snag on your clothes. They are Ambi-cut and very inexpensive. These are just my personal opinions/experiences and have never had any issues with other Magpul products. They will come out with better grips as they always innovate their products. I will give them another try if they were to come out with a new style with better material or maybe something rubberized for a cheap grip solution.
