The second generation Brownells 1911 magazines combine heavy duty construction with the reliability you've come to expect from a century old service weapon.

The body and follower are constructed from heat treated stainless steel, with witness holes for a fast round count. Xylan~ exterior coating provides corrosion protection, as well as a slick, friction reducing finish. The anti-tilt follower is mated with an extra-power spring.

The removable polymer base pad allows easy disassembly, as well as drop protection when changing magazines on the fly.

Great product, slow shipper

I purchased 6 magazines and am pleased to say they performed perfectly. However, the mode of shipment, not so great. It took a week to get from Chicago to Quinton, VA. I'd choose a diffwewnt carrier!

9mm 1911 magazines

Have 9 all work great in my Springfield

Better than OEM

The oems are flush fit, these are extended, much easier to smack in a fully loaded magazine on my Springfield RO Target.

Great Magazines

Ive been using these mags for a short time now with my Ronin. They drop free when ejected, lock the slide back on an empty chamber & feed reliably. They seem to be every bit as high quality as the W/C magazines.

Worth the money & Yes they hold 10rds

I purchased these mags to use in my Springfield 1911 9mm for steel challenge and USPSA. Fit and finish are very good. No sharp corners and all surfaces are polished appropriately. I haven't had a chance to extensively use them but they function perfectly so far. They drop free and lock back on the last round every time. My biggest concern was did they really hold 10rds or not. Yes they hold 10rds and there is still enough room left in the mag/spring so that a full 10rd mag can be inserted into the pistol without any inducing any malfunctions. The only negative I have is the mags are very easy to load, but a pain to unload by hand. I will be buying another 3pk soon.

When I bought my Springfield Ronin 1911 9mm, which is a great handgun, it came with only 1 mag. Now I have a total of 4 with this lot. These work actually better than the factory mag that came with the weapon. If you're looking for extra mags, these work GREAT!

10 round, not 9 like the factor

The quality of this is great and made in USA. It holds 10 rounds, unlike the 9 round magazines that came with mine. It's also a lot easier to load. I will consider Brownell made magazines for other firearms I own.
