Aluma-Hyde II
Not only have I used this on many firearms, but I am also using it on my new bumper for my 77 Bronco. I will see how well it holds up! So far, it's been great on firearms!
Great stuff if you can follow directions
PREP PREP PREP! I had no issues with use as long as you follow the directions, shake it a lot as you use. Brownells recommend the replacement nozzles for this, however have been out of stock forever. I got a 30 pack of spray paint nozzles on eBay for $10 and they work perfect. Make sure to turn can upside down when done spraying to clear out tubes. Paint drying was forgiving when I got too close to the gun.
Wolf gray
Brownells aluma Hyde is great stuff. Very durable the best on the market, other than cerekote. No dissatisfaction at all. Best results bake it .
Aluma-Hyde ll
I like the way Aluma-Hyde goes on and stays on. If you want to achieve that battle worn look with minimal effort than this epoxy paint is probably not for you because this stuff is tough as nails.
Magpul FDE
I sprayed a few magazines and did some touch up on a S&W 2.0 FDE slide. Color is a bit darker than S&W FDE, not really noticeable on the small spots I touched up. P mags did come out great! It seems pretty durable and sprays pretty evenly. I had better results the longer I shook the the can before applying.
Great
Been using this stuff for years, looks great, and adds a nice protective finish. Just finished fully painting a rifle with the stainless steel (which is really like a light matte gray) and a wolf gray accent.
Decent coating
Bought three colors to try out, tge first two worked out well, one can however came out odd. Coating my AR lower reciver with the texture of 60 grit sandpaper. I promptly threw it in a conta8ner filled with gasoline and was able to wipe it off. I denatured it again and it shot fine afterwards. So all in all good product.
