LEUPOLD - RIMFIRE RINGS

Mounts did not fit my rifle and I returned them.

Rating of 5 for the quality of ring mounts, after all it is Leupold, but the medium is not high enough for the Weaver T-36 on a Anchutz 64 BR(22 rimfire) with heavy barrel. Ringmount description saids use med. up to 40 mm. objective lens which the Weaver description claims the obj. lens is. HOWEVER, the outside measurement of the objective bell is 53 mm. It is misleading because what counts when mounting is the outside measurement not what the lens diameter is.Who to blame for this- myself for not understanding how measurements are given and Sinclair for not explaining better in the description. But now I have a new set of med. ring mounts that won't work and I do not have the receipt for returning.

Rings appear well made, however NOTE that these rings will not fit round top receivers. Use only on flat top receivers such as Ruger or Marlin.

I bought these for a CZ452 Varmint .22LR, trying to save a bit of money over the very expensive CZ rings. The rings got here quickly (thank you Brownells) and looked really good when I go them out of the package. But when I put them on my rifle it all came to a crashing halt. When installed on the rifle the rings don't sit correctly on the rifle. They are cocked off to the left of center. It's not much, but it's enough. I'm not sure what Leupold was thinking. These will be going back and exchanged for the more expensive CZ rings.
