What is the WEAVER - 1" High Ext. Matte?
Two caps per base provide twice the clamping power. 210° coverage provides even clamping pressure that pulls scope into base, prevents scope from rotating when tightening caps. Aluminum construction keeps weight to a minimum. SPECS: Aluminum, gloss black, matte black, or natural silver finish. Height from top of base to bottom of ring:?Medium - .160' (4mm). High - .328'?(8.3mm). Standard and Extension (Ext) rings fit Weaver-style bases. Extension sets include one standard ring and one extension ring. Others have two standard rings. Tip-Off rings fit 3?8' grooved .22 rimfire receivers.

These rings work fine.
I have used several sets of the quad lock rings on various rim and center fire rifles. They work as well as any, and better than a lot of the cheaper sets of rings. Push the top of the ring into full contact with the scope tube and the screws align easily. I wish they made a low set of tip off rings, I like low mounted small scopes on my .22 rifles. Even though the package says they are only for 3/8" grooved receivers, the set I just bought fit well on the 11mm dovetail on both a CZ Model 452 and a Savage/Anschutz Match 64.

NICE rings
I have vortex rings on my AR-10s, and they are perfect. I tried these rings on an inexpensive scope (3-9x40) for my flattop AR-22. The scope has a 40mm objective lens and clears with these rings. I had to use some 1/2" risers to get a comfortable height. Overall, Im super happy w these rings.

New to me
Tried these on a side mount for an old Mossberg 92A in 22LR and they worked just fine. Had never used split rings before but gave no problem in mounting or installing the scope. Got them because they were cheap and available in this wonderful time of COVID-19 shortages. Am impressed and will have to try a set on something with a little more "kick", like my 45-70 and see if they stay secure on that too. Overall, quite pleased with them. Only gave them 4 stars as I'm not sure how they'd do on something with heavy recoil.

Fit OK but needed some work
I bought these rings to fit a cheap Simmons scope to my vintage Winchester 75 target rifle. The ring quality was fine but the construction was problematic since the rings aren't split exactly through a hemispheric diameter. Instead the top ring covers a slightly bigger angle. As a result, when the rings are clamping on a scope the clear holes on the upper ring don't exactly line up with the threaded holes on the lower ring. To make it fit I had to resort to a taper reamer to widen the clear holes for the screws. That done, it works fine, but I didn't expect to have to hand fit the job.
