What is the DANIEL DEFENSE - One O'Clock Offset Rail?

Lightweight, low-profile, rail clamps to handguard side rail to allow easy off-axis mounting of red dot sights in the 1:00 or 11:00 position. Lets operator transition almost instantly from long-range primary optic to non-magnified CQB sight without breaking cheekweld. Viewing tunnel through the mount helps minimize obstruction of operator’s view of area around the target. Plenty of other uses, too; clamps to any MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail. Install on underside of handguard to position a laser or weaponlight close to vertical forend grip for easy operation of controls with support hand. Precision machined from 6061-T6 aluminum billet, then mil-spec Type III hardcoat anodized for added strength. The 1 O'Clock Offset Rail now utilizes the Daniel Defense patented Rock and Lock™ one piece mounting system, creating an even more robust and streamlined mounting surface as well as simplified installation on any MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail.

SPECS: 6061-T6 aluminum, hardcoat anodized, matte black. 1.2 oz. (34g) weight.

Perfect offset w/o changing cheek weld
A stout little unit, that's for sure and for certain! Even before the 1 o'clock mounts came out, when we were learning about the 45 deg. offsets; I always felt like you had to move too far to transition from optic to irons & back. You always had to break the cheek weld to move between the two. Almost like when mounting the extra sighting equipment one on top of each other; you had to break the cheek weld to move from one to the other and back. It got better with setting your sights up as co-witness but that always had a tendency to confuse me at times. I'd wind up using part of one with part of the other and who knows where that round went, cause I sure didn't. The 1 o'clock offset solves the problem better than prior set ups. If it could be done as a 12:30 offset that might be even better but it would require a specific set of sights to 'just barely' clear each other to work right and not interfere with the two. It would alow you to just barely twist the rifle to transition from one set of sights to the other. I think that would let you move tween the two much faster. Just my opinion, though. I do like this offset the best so far and you can mount it on either side, @ 11o'clock or 1 o'clock and it does mount very secure. If you are using it in front for a light, I like where it puts your light off to the side away from the centerline of the rifle. I mount it on bottom on right side angling up, works good for me. Your mileage may vary though.

HAVE PURCHASED SEVERAL
I absolutely love this offset mount. It's strong, lightweight and of very high quality construction. I use these to place BUIS off-axis at the 1 o'clock position, most recently on my SIG MCX rifle. I prefer this arrangement to a full or lower 1/3rd cowitness with red dot sights and it also works well with my variable magnification rifle scopes. I highly recommend this product.

Great buy!
I love these add-ons! Great for my backup sights and I can't wait to sight these iron sights in. They look great, fit great, and seem very durable. Great buy!

Perfect mount
I've tried a couple different mounts, this super lite, very rigid mount places the RMR in exactly the right location on my AR15 and AR308 rifles. Fast transition from long glass to red dot and back to long glass again. Great job Daniel Defense!
