SPIKES TACTICAL - CAR-1 Fake Suppressor 1/2-28 Black

I purchases this Spikes Tactical inert suppressor as well as the inert Outback II. So far the Spikes Tactical is great. I wanted to see what the physical characteristic (length, diameter ect) will be like when I order the real thing. The only down side is the diameter of the can. When fitted to a good number of pistols, the front sight is all but invisible. the only exception is the Ruger 22/45 lite or the other Ruger Mark III line. Their front sights are high enough to clear the can with ease. It also looks kind of strange on a Ruger SR22 pistol, but it does give it a little more weight and steadies the gun on the target. All in all, a great product.

I have seen people ask "why would you put a fake suppressor on a gun?" Well, if you live in Massachusetts, you can't legal own one. You can't even have a flash suppressor. What you can do is buy a fake suppressor and pin and weld it to 10.5" barrel thus making it a MA legal barrel that does not look like all the rest. The fake can is very light and does not really add too much to the overall weight. I don't put them on every gun, but when someone wants something special, it does make it different.

I got mine from a gun show. It screws on perfectly when you take off the flash suppresser. The best part about it is it looks like you have a shorter barrel or you can flip it around to add length. Obviously it's fake and it does make your gun a lot louder. When I shot it at my buddy's house, they were asking what caliber my AR was. Pretty funny. Over all I think the CDI factor wins.
