P211 GTO Equinox GOAT
The fit and finish on the P211 GTO Equinox are phenomenal. From the moment you pick it up, the all-metal frame gives it a reassuring heft that immediately conveys quality and durability. It feels exceptionally solid in the hand, with tight tolerances and outstanding machining throughout. The slide-to-frame fit is noticeably tighter and more refined than on the standard GTO models (I also own the all black GTO that shipped with the Romeo-X Pro optic installed), suggesting these Custom Works pistols are held to an even higher QA/QC standard.
On the range, the Equinox is extremely accurate and shoots remarkably flat. The weight of the full metal frame helps tame recoil and muzzle rise, making follow-up shots fast, predictable, and confidence-inspiring. Every control feels crisp, and the overall build quality gives the impression of a premium firearm designed to perform at a high level. The equinox model provides all of the performance and durability of the standard GTO with an awesome boost in style and finish quality.
Another standout feature is the interchangeable G10 grips, which allow you to tailor the feel and ergonomics to your personal preference without sacrificing the pistol's refined appearance, LOK grips sell a few options that are a perfect option. Sig actually ships many of the Custom Works models with factory installed LOK grips. Overall, the P211 GTO Equinox combines exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, outstanding accuracy, and excellent shootability into a pistol that truly stands out from the standard GTO lineup. Slap an X300U and Romeo-X Sig-LOC Pro on this thing and go tear it up at the range.
The ONLY criticism I have is that the LOK grips are not brass, they are aluminum. I have the brass set (Cerekoted black) on my all black P211 GTO and that little extra weight feels great in the hand and further increases stability. The only downside is you lose the "GTO" logo on the grips. BUT... I contacted LOK and they claim we will soon be able to purchase the brass LOK grips with the "GTO" logo directly through Sig Saur.
