Reviews Summary
The AR-15 Fire Control Group Mil-Spec has received mixed reviews. Customers appreciate its solid build and value for money, with some noting improvements over standard mil-spec groups. However, many have pointed out issues like heavy trigger pull, creep, and fit problems with disconnectors. While some recommend minor adjustments, others suggest investing in a higher-quality option for better performance.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Performance and Quality
45%
Reviewers expressed mixed feelings about the performance of the fire control group. Some noted that while it offers solid construction and a smoother pull than stock options, others found the trigger pull to be heavy with noticeable creep. A few suggested that the performance varies based on receiver tolerances or external spring kits.
Fit and Compatibility Issues
50%
Several users encountered fit issues, particularly with disconnectors not engaging properly or requiring modifications for proper functioning. This suggests quality control discrepancies in manufacturing, which affected user experiences across different installations.
Value for Money
60%
The product is often highlighted for its competitive pricing, offering decent performance at a lower cost compared to high-end models. Reviewers noted its affordability as a compelling reason to choose this trigger group over pricier alternatives.
Recommendation for Upgrades
35%
Some reviewers suggested that while the fire control group performs adequately for mil-spec, it could benefit from enhanced components like lighter springs for improved trigger pull. This indicates a common belief that minor upgrades can make a notable difference in performance.

Great trigger for little cash.
I've used 3 of these sets with reduced power spring kits. I've tried using standard springs, and although they work, the end result is horrible. The spring kits I've used were all light springs including disconnector spring. I smoothed the disconnector spring retaining hole on the trigger to make it move easily like it should. Additionally, I lubed every inch of the components with clp and wiped the parts until dry as a bone. No alterations made to sear engagement surfaces. One of the disconnectors had a pin hole which was just a hair too tight, easy fix. All 3 sets have been installed, and I am pretty sure the performance differences amongst the 3 are due to receiver tolerances. This set is just a step up from regular mil spec.

Love it
Great item for the price. Out of the bag smooth pull clean brake, I can imagine how much better its going to be after polishing. I'm very impressed, compared to groups that cost four times as much this one out performs my leaps and bounds. I plan on buying more for backup parts.

Great Deal For the Money
I purchased 3 of these trigger groups on 2 different orders at 2 different times. I installed them on 3 different Lowers, an Anderson, DPMS and a Palmetto, all of then fit perfect, all of them were smooth with a crisp trigger break. I was so impressed that I referred them to my Brother and he purchased a set for his rifle with the same good results. You can pay more and get less, just saying!

Solid design
This trigger hardware is well made and solid. I suggest buying a set of 3.5lbs springs to ease the creep. Might also do good to get a travel adjuster grip screw if you want a quick break. Its a little better than stock or straight Mil-spec equipment but not enough to pay extra for....

Excellent Milspec Trigger Group
An overall excellent milspec style of trigger group. The pull is heavy, but smooth and surprisingly crisp. Very minimal creep and a normal amount of over travel. The only problem I had was the disconnector not fitting well. With the trigger pulled, the disconnector did not have enough travel to catch the hammer without the trigger moving forward. Some careful time on a belt sander fixed the disconnector very easily. If you need a milspec trigger group, do not hesitate to get this one! Remember to pick up a trigger spring, hammer spring, and disconnector spring as this kit does not include them.
