What is the WMD GUNS - NiB-X~ AR-15 Disconnector?

These precision-machined components are coated with WMD’s ultra-tough NiB-X® nickel boron finish for superior durability, corrosion resistance, and exceptionally smooth metal-on-metal contact. The coating allows the parts to function under extreme conditions with little or no lubrication, and gives carbon fouling nothing to adhere to, so cleanup is much easier than with ordinary finishes. Allows longer intervals between cleaning without loss of weapon performance.

SPECS: Steel with nickel boron silver finish. Fits small-pin (.154”) AR-15 lower receivers only.

Great disconnect

Great disconnect, along with the nib-x trigger and hammer, works flawlessly. Smooth and crisp the way I like it. Their was a 2 star review an this disconnect, it has to be installed wrong. There's nothing not to like about this disconnect. Good price, fast ship.

Great Upgrade

Easy swap out for my lowers. Trigger pull felt a little less gritty from the mil spec parts. Wasn't sure if this was going to be a good buy but I will order more. For my shooting I cannot justify a $200 drop in, but this is a great upgrade for a few bucks.

Great!

I bought this to complete the trifecta of Hammer, Trigger, and Disconnect (all WMD parts) that I have purchased individually over time. The Disconnect was a little tight going into the trigger when I installed it the first time, this tightness quickly disappeared however with a few back and forth movements; everything now moves cleanly and freely. I believe that the coating adds just a little thickness to the part and magnifies any slight tolerance error that the part may have from manufacture. My initial impression of the three parts installed together was that the trigger pull was gritty for a moment, and then broke cleanly. The feeling was better than a stock set, but not everything I had hoped for. After "working" the trigger about 50 times however this grittiness significantly diminished. The trigger now feels pretty good. I think it is great value for the effect it provides.

Less than perfect

Not any better than a standard disconnect. Used with a NiBX hammer and it was binding a little on the trigger reset. Very "rough" break as the hammer moves off the disconnect during trigger reset. It works, just feels like it would bind worse if there's any fouling. Keeping it, but just as a spare part.
