What is the WOOD PLUS - Savage Arms 110 Stock Sporter Wood Brown?

The beauty and warmth of real walnut for Savage 110 rifles. Finished stocks are fully inletted with factory, sporter barrel channel; requires only minor inletting to fit larger barrels. Completely sanded, stained and finished with three coats of Watco oil for an attractive, durable finish that resists weather and is easy to touch up. Includes hard non-slip butt plate.

SPECS: Walnut, straight grain, minimal figure. 14" (35.5cm) LOP. 2 lb. 2 oz. (964 g) wt. Savage fits 110 long action with blind magazine (and hole spacing of 5 1/16 ” C-to-C).

Wrong size, wouldn’t fit rifle.
The stock was beautiful and would have looked great on my rifle. Problem was it was the wrong size and wouldn’t fit my savage model 11. Wish you had one just like it to fit my rifle.

cheap project stock
Stock required alot of work to inlet further down as the weep hole was way to high for a drop in fit. Stock has funky lines, as the toe line and the forearms are not very straight. Nothing a shinto rasp couldnt fix. Looks even better with a curly maple forearm and grip cap, and a handrub gunsaver oil would be a recommend finish.

NOT VERY WATER PROOF.
first thing I learned in Gunsmithing school at Oregon Technical Institute was not to use Watco. suggest you sand the finish out and use a more appropriate product before you have problems at the wrong time.
