Excellent rifle stock
Purchased one of these to replace the original plastic stock. Most likely will require some "minor" fitting, especially at the op rod guide pin, underneath the receiver, and lock assembly areas. If you are patient, and do a good job it will turn out well. The manufacturer has a couple YouTube videos, and great customer support, and are very enthusiastic to help you by providing after the sale support. If you do this right, find the right reloading recipe, buy the Sadlak gas system parts and scope mount, the M1A will shoot sub-MOA. Mine does at any rate.

The Precision stock came with my M1A
This Precision stock came with my "Springfield Armory M1A Loaded" rifle. This rifle fits me as if it was custom made for me. The pistol style grip brings my thumb down and in so causes my trigger finger to be in an excellent position to press the trigger. This is important for consistent accurate marksmanship. If you are trying to improve your marksmanship then this style of a stock is worth the investment. I fired at an 8" gong placed at 100 yards away, shooting with open sites on the first day I fired the rifle right out of the box and I was hitting the gong without any problem. Ok yes I missed a lot too but I was more interested in doing the breaking of the barrel than anything else.

Looks really cool, that's it.
I would advise that you really consider if your current M1A stock does not suit your needs, then decide. This stock looks totally cool and makes my M1A Scout look awesome. The problem may be that the traditional stock has really been optimized for that rifle and the feel is so different that I could never get used to it. Partly because when you put it up to your shoulder, it feels like there is less rifle there. I may just need a lot more trigger time to really decide to keep it or change it back.

Adjustment wheels are UNSAT !
I recently received this stock. It looks good coming out of the wrapping but I have not tried to fit it to my rifle yet. What I have done is attempt to use the adjustment wheels for the cheek piece and the butt. They are all but impossible to move. I did eventually manage to get both to budge a little at a time but 2 minutes of attempted manipulation for one 'click' of adjustment is ridiculous. I contacted ProMag and was advised to "Roll it on a table. That will eventually break them lose"... which tells me they know about the manufacturing issue but haven't bothered to fix it. I don't feel like scratching up an expensive stock or my table trying to doing that so am likely going to return this and take a refund rather than risk another lemon.
