Colt all the way
I only install Colt parts on my 6920. I am to replace an endplate with a single point sling endplate and I just grabbed this one just to make sure as a spare if ever the current nut is messed up so I can finish the job the same day.

excellent product from Colt
If you're replacing this part or building an AR you should install this extension nut from Colt. This product is top quality and it's mil-spec to boot.

The right part for the job...
It's a Colt castle nut. I have used these on several custom projects. Allows proper torque and staking of the receiver end plate. These always thread on with a tight fight to quality receiver extensions. Don't settle for questionable aftermarket parts, especially with the low-quality parts of unknown origin that are floating about.

Aesthetically Displeasing
I was going to give it a 5 star but, here is the reason why I only give it a 3 star. I choose colt mainly because of its good reputation. I received the product in a bag, oiled, and looks very tough, however it has scratch on the finish. It's minor and its aesthetic but I paid extra to get the best quality, I was disappointed. Returning it is not worth the time and shipping cost.
