Retro build
I bought this as a gift for a family member doing a retro XM-177 build. It's period correct, what more can one ask from such an item? After being used to 6 position stocks the two position seems a little limiting, but it is what it is, a fascinating piece of history from the early days of the AR platform.

Mine was perfect
This latest batch of 2-position buffer tubes seem to be perfectly in spec and I had no problems installing mine. The fit and finish is perfect and a mil-spec CAR stock fits tight with very little wobble.

2 Position Tube
I only give this a "Good" because although dimensionally it is correct, the anodized color choice was Silver/Gray. I was hoping for a color matching XM Gray or a Green Label Colt Gray. I'll end up using it of course but it will get re-finished.
