I purchased this sight for a Cimarron 1886. Very simple installation and swapping out uprights is very painless. If I could do it again I would probably buy the standard base due to windage adjustments not being that crucial for my shooting. Once you adjust windage on this sight, the notch in the back of the bolt no longer clears the sight when cycling the action. I shoot mainly 100-500 yards and I typically just hold over when needing to adjust for windage. Overall, this is a very good value for the price, especially if you don't want to spend $400 on Soule sights.
