Strong backup sight
This sight is fantastic for the money, the steel tower im sure will hold up great over time and it has a very solid and positive feel when clicking it in the folded or upright position. I would buy again!
5
Good back up sight
This back up rear sight is lightweight and low profile. Lock up to the open position is positive and takes some effort to fold down. Windage adjustments are positive and I do not worry about the dial moving once you have it set. The diameter of the aperture is the perfect size for me and is comparable to the A2 short distance aperture. Takes up very little rail space and has a smaller footprint than a magpul MBUS. Excellent quality and does not break the bank. Recommended.

Awesome Sight
I purchased this sight as a set and they are phenomenal. Very well machined with a nice finish, as is typical for all Midwest products. Unlike other reviewers, I found the rear aperture to be excellent, and because of the slightly larger field of view when looking through the rear sight Im able to easily ring steel (from small pie plates to half silhouettes) out to 400M with ease with a 14.5 barrel and M855, despite having less than perfect vision. The rear aperture is only slightly smaller than the aperture of a Matech rear sight, for those that might find that reference useful. All in all, would highly recommend them to anybody.

Does the job
I have three of these now. All are zeroed with the sights adjusted all the way to the left . When folded the diopter is centered in the back of the receiver. Seems the sight is made a little cockeyed. They work perfect though.

Needs smaller sight aperture
Bought the MI low profile sights as a set, both sights are tough and built like a tank. However, the REAR sight aperture is terrible in my opinion. When utilizing both irons, the rear sight may as well not be there. Not only can you see the entire front iron sight, you see everything surrounding that as well. I understand where Midwest Industries was headed with this rear sight (which is exactly why I bought them in the first place). Both combat sights are tough and the build quality is there for sure, however I would like to see MI make a slight change to this by doing what Knights Armament did with their 300M rear sight. They have a plastic removable insert that's installed from the factory that gives you a smaller sight picture allowing you to be more precise and in turn more accurate. If they added that feature, these would be the last sights I would buy. They would be perfect.
