What is the COLT - M4 SOCOM Upper Group 14.5in Stripped?

No matter what AR is on the market, there's nothing quite like a genuine Colt. Now, you can complete your perfect dream gun build by picking up this nearly complete Colt M4 Upper Receiver, which includes the same SOCOM-profile barrel designed for use by the U.S. armed forces. Each Colt M4 Upper Receiver is chambered in 5.56 NATO and features a flattop-style design that allows for the easy addition of mounted optics. Just like the M4A1 rifles in use by the U.S. Military, this upper receiver features a pinned front sight gas block. The barrel measures 14.5 inches long and features a 1:7-inch twist rate, which will handle the heavy bullets you like. Be aware that this Colt M4 Upper Receiver does not include a rear sight, bolt-carrier group or charging handle, which gives you a chance to find the perfect options to complete your rifle.

Here's what I got

The one I received came double boxed with factory colt box, blue bags and manual. Upper is marked 13629 next to a square forge on the right side and M4 on the front, it has T marks and gray dry film inside. Barrel is marked 13629 MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 and is Marked R at the rear, it has the M203 cuts for you pineapple lovers, Pinned front sight with swivel and b2 forge marking...No F mark. Standard phosphate A2 flash hider with crush washer. And overall...I am very satisfied with the top quality parts and assembly.

Colt SOCOM strip upper

The upper arrived in a Colt blue/white box with blue anti corrosion plastic bag. The upper is not marked with a C or Cage code, only the keyhole mark and the M4 in top of the gas tube hole. The FSB has no F mark. The barrel has Cage code and an R & O marked at the base of the barrel. No date mark in the barrel. The cage code was marked kind of sloppy in the barrel.

M4 14.5" SOCOM UPPER

just received two Socom barreled uppers and upon inspection noticed that both are missing the front sling swivels. NONE. everything else is great: colt's cage code and 1/7 stampings are behind the flash hider and Rosco's "R" and Colt's "O" proof stampings in the delta ring area. Both receivers have Cerro code marks, T marks, dry teflon coated interiors and textured deep type 3 hard black anodizing on the exterior. Since these were shown to come with front swivels, i have phoned customer service to inquire about having swivel assembies mailed rather than hassle with returning. we will see.

Colt socom

Received mine yesterday. Keyhole, m4 marked upper. No cage code, fine with me. Surprised that the upper didn’t have a scuff or ding, Colt is definitely subbing these out lol. Looks great, price was right, can’t wait to pew pew.

Well packaged but the barrel does not come as shown in the picture. It does not come with an oval handguard. At least mine didn’t. Other than that it’s good but disappointing when you get something different than what is shown. There is no indication that it doesn’t not come with a handguard
