Mounted easily on a 16" mid-length non-adjustable gas block Spikes AR with a 13.2" SAR3 rail and a T2 buffer. Compared to an identical build with a SJC Titan steel brake, the Hypertap was completely flat shooting and neutral for me. Felt recoil was marginally less with the Hypertap, but what I really noticed is that when you hold the Hypertap on target, it stays on target making triple taps on 50 yard poppers and double taps on 75 yard poppers pretty easy. With the SJC Titan, I felt it pushing down slightly with each shot, but with the Hypertap it somehow stays on target effortlessly and without the need to drill its customizable top tuning ports. In addition, I felt and appreciated the approximate 2.5 oz weight difference compared to the SJC Titan, which really lightens up the front of your rifle. The only con for me is the Hypertap's 35 degree baffle angles, which blow back muzzle blast more than I like. If you use a C-clamp grip with extended index finger, the top half of your index finger starts to turn black. The first inch of my 13.2" rail was covered with muzzle blast. While not nearly as bad as the M4-72's 40 degree baffle angles, which was my go to brake before the SJC Titan, I've been trying to reduce my lead levels, so I was hoping the black blast would be less. Ultimately, I can deal with that issue given this brakes amazing performance. I was also considering trying the "The Answer" brake due to its more easily tunable top ports, but given the recoil reduction and how flat shooting the Hypertap is, I don't see a need to try it. No disrespect to my SJC Titans, but I'll be ordering more of these.
