Let's face it, you are buying this for looks, not functionality.
Looks great. It IS a little loose but given this thing has to fit any rifle made over the last 60 years, that is to be expected.
In order to give this a little bit more of a friction fit, I bedded the inside with JB Weld.
Coat the muzzle of the barrel liberally with release agent. Rough up the inside of the flash hider with some 80 grit and degrease. Apply release agent to set screw and set screw hole. Give the inside of the flash hider just a thin layer of JB Weld. THIN.
Slide the flash hider on, tighten down the set screw, and leave overnight. When JB Weld is cured, remove set screw, give the flash hider a whack with a rubber mallet and it should come off no sweat and now it will slide on with zero wobble.
For added insurance I smeared a little blue loctite on the muzzle and set screw.
If I have to tell you to be careful not to get JB Weld in the bore, then maybe don't try this.
