What is the PRECISION ARMAMENT - AR15/M16 M4-72 Severe Duty Compensator DLC Black?
Features an innovative reverse venting triple baffle design for the highest recoil reduction in its class. The M4-72 is an extremely lightweight (2.6 oz) and compact design that delivers industry leading recoil reduction of up to 75%. Closed bottom construction combined with upward biased venting effectively eliminates both muzzle rise and dust signature. Precision machined from heat treated stainless steel for superior durability, the M4-72 can withstand the extreme heat of combat conditions without being subject to rapid erosion.

Available with an advanced Ionbond® high temperature CrCN coating (matte black). 223/5.56mm model is designed to fit M4/M16/AR15 style rifles and features 1/2-28 threads. Delivers industry leading recoil reduction of 73-75% for standard 223 Remington. Will accept many devices designed to fit over the standard A2 flash suppressor.

Warning: Reverse venting design may cause excessive blast/concussion on barrels shorter than 14.5" and on bullpup style rifles.

Blast City !!
This thing does everything people like about it & everything people complain about! Ah well, as the other reviewer said "Grow a pair & get over it. Use shooting glasses, as you are 'supposed' to." Got no complaints and nothing but praise! If you want a flat shooting AR..... This is the ticket. 'Nuff said!

Lay hate as fast as you want!
I did lots of reading before I picked up this bad boy,just a few hours ago I put a few rounds through it and have to say it is definitely night and day with recoil reduction. There is ZERO recoil. If youve shot a BB gun just imagine that but youre throwing 5.56 rounds as fast as you want. I had a separate unmodified AR with it, there is so much difference its magical, yes its spendy but its well worth it. I saw some people talk about the gas and fireballs it puts out Gas in the face- yep it does that. Put some shooting glasses on grow a pair and deal with it. Fireball and concussion- yep it does that too. If you dont like seeing a big awesome fireball or like your AR to sound like a .308/.50 then maybe you should go back to being a communist and go play with a .22 10/10 5stars would buy again

Exc recoil reduction, but with a price!
This is going to put two big .50 BMG sniper swirls of dirt debris, hot gas and noise back into your face, but the recoil and rise is reduced by close to 68%!! This is one of the most aggressive and effective brakes made, but that comes with a caveat. All that blast is going backwards and sideways. If you are on a firing line or hunting with a guide, this is NOT the brake to use!!! If you can stand a face full of dirt and debris, it works great, and off a bench, these are truly great!!!! KEEP PEOPLE AWAY FROM THE SIDE OF YOU AND YOUR GUN!!! I recommend this but NOT WITHOUT A STERN WARNING! THIS DEVICE KICKS OUT LOTS OF SIDEWAYS & BACKWARD MUZZLE BLAST! THAT IS WHY IT WORKS SO WELL! There is a trade off. It does what it does superbly well, but there is a trade off for doing that!

Dont believe the cryers
I love this comp. Rapid fire is totally possible due to the muzzle hardly moving off POA. Ive shot it A LOT off a 16 LRue, and even during rapid fire on an indoor lane I havent experienced any gas issues. The blast seems to glance off both shoulders without watery eyes and felt recoil at around 35-40% IMO. All my rifles that I dont expect will see a can will have this comp. Get it, dont let the gas in your face reviews stop you.

Awsome Muzzle Control!!
Due to popular demand I have installed a handful of these devices on AR 223. Bar none they are by far the best muzzle control device out there. They virtually eliminat muzzle movment in the 223! One thing to be aware of though is that they are reverse venting so DO NOT USE WITH EXTENDED FOREARMS THAT COVER BACK OF BRAKE or you WILL get some blowback :(
